FAQs

I cannot connect to the Internet. What should I do?

The first thing to do is check that your broadband modem is connected to the Internet. On most modems, there will be a light that indicates if the Internet is connected. Many modems will have two lights - one for the physical ADSL/broadband service, and the other for the Internet service (which uses the broadband service).

If these lights are off, contact your Internet service provider (ISP).

If these lights are on, then the problem is more likely to be with your PC, or it's Internet Browser settings. Complete the "Ask for Help" form and we'll organise some speedy assistance.

I installed Microsoft's Windows XP Service Pack 3 (SP3). Now my computer will not boot!

It is essential that you have ALL other Microsoft updates installed prior to installing SP3. We are finding about 10% of customer's computers fail to install SP3 completely for some reason, leaving the computer crippled. The news is not all bad, but it normally takes an expert grasp of Operating System fundamentals to resolve this issue without losing data.

Complete the "Ask for Help" form and we'll get you back up and running again.

The mouse cursor insists on staying at the bottom left of my touch screen. Help!

The usual cause of this problem is very easy to resolve. If a grain of sand, fruit seed, or some other tiny object becomes lodged between the touch screen surface and the plastic surround, this places pressure on the touch sensitive fabric. Clean out the groove using a brush (we've seen a customer use a business card!) and the cursor should respond to your touch properly.
